Student Chapter Benefits

Student chapter members will join North America's largest network of public finance professionals.

How does creating or joining a student chapter benefit me?

Each approved student chapter will receive:

  • Welcome kit and additional student chapter resources from GFOA
  • GFOA student chapter logo
  • Free GFOA membership for all chapter members while members are in the chapter.
  • Access to GFOA's private members-only social media groups
  • Free access to four GFOA webinars per year
  • Free registration to GFOA's annual conference each year (student chapter officers also receive $50 stipend/day)

Note: Enrolled graduate students who have full-time government jobs are not eligible for the free student membership. They must obtain a membership through their agency. Once complete, those students will receive all other benefits that come with joining a student chapter.
