The Business, Facilities and Operations Division of the Santa Clara County Office of Education is now accepting applications for Director III - Internal Business Services. Under the direction of the Chief Business Officer, plans, organizes, and directs the budget, accounting, and student attendance accounting functions for the Santa Clara County Office of Education; serves as a resource to administrators regarding State and Federal regulations related to budget and accounting tasks and programs; supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel.
The ideal candidate will have public agency experience in budgeting, accounting and federal and state grants management. This person will be a great interpersonal communicator with strong leadership skills.
This position qualifies for a $2,300 annual stipend for persons hired with a master's degree, and a $1,700 additional stipend for a doctorate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination equivalent to:
- Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a related field, AND
- Experience: five years increasingly responsible experience in the administration of budgets or accounting including at least three years in an administrative position.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Valid California driver's license
