"No Tax on Overtime" FAQs Published

GFOA’s Federal Liaison Center team has published a new series of FAQs related to implementation of the new, temporary  “No Tax on Overtime” deduction and the applicability of Fair Labor Standards Act requirements. Although the IRS has granted government employers with relief from separately reporting FLSA-qualified overtime in 2025, employers will need to begin accounting for deductible overtime in 2026 to meet statutory reporting requirements.

Virginia Bielucki

Virginia Bielucki, accountant II for the Town of Waterford, Connecticut, pursued the CPFO designation to strengthen her expertise in her current responsibilities while broadening her knowledge across all areas of public finance. Through the program, she discovered valuable GFOA resources and gained insights she now applies to better support her town and finance team. Celebrate Black History Month with GFOA's Black Caucus

February is Black History Month, and this year’s theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” is a perfect time to learn, connect, and get involved. Established in 1991, GFOA's Black Caucus supports African American public finance professionals through education, networking, leadership development, and student engagement. The Black Caucus is one of GFOA’s Affinity Groups—a free member benefit with no additional fees or volunteer requirements. GFOA’s nine Affinity Groups bring members together around shared interests and experiences to build community and advance careers.
