Treasury Services Director Position ID: 20000883
The Treasury Services Director is responsible for providing leadership in a significant strategic financial role at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The position evaluates and implements best practices in investment management, cash flow management and modeling, debt management, and risk management, and performs specialized financial analyses to advance the mission of the University. This position reports to the AVC for Finance and Budget.
Advanced degree in relevant areas such as business, finance, management, public administration, or a related field with three years or greater of related professional experience. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of experience in the above-referenced categories will also be considered.
Qualifications and Experience:
Prefer candidates who have a minimum of 5-7 years of senior-level experience managing the treasury, debt and/or financial operations of a higher education institution, public sector entity, or private company of similar scope and complexity as UNC-Chapel Hill. Experience as the treasurer or administrative officer of a medium-sized institution with comparable scope of responsibility will also be considered.
The successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of treasury practices and techniques; strong planning, analysis, and management skills; demonstrated success in a team-based environment; investment management experience; the ability to manage bank and rating agency relationships.
