Apply for GFOA Budget Award Advisory Committee
GFOA is recruiting volunteers to apply for and serve on the initial GFOA Budget Award Advisory Committee. The committee will play a pivotal role in helping GFOA update its Distinguished Budget Presentation Award to incorporate recent recommendations from the "Rethinking Budgeting" Project.
Expectations for Participation
GFOA expects to select approximately 10-15 individuals to serve on the initial Budget Award Advisory Committee. It is expected that individuals will be representative of current GFOA members and budget awards participants.
GFOA expects the advisory committee to meet at least monthly for approximately nine months with expected revisions to be complete by the 2025 annual conference. GFOA expects to host 2-3 in person meetings (1.5 days each) in Chicago. All other meetings will be remote.
