Adam Johnson has been the Finance Director at the Scott County Community Development Agency in Shakopee, MN, since joining the agency in June 2018. He earned his CPA license in 2010 while working in public accounting and has worked in the MSP/St. Paul metro area his entire career. Directly prior to joining the Scott County CDA, he worked as the Accounting Manager at a software company where he managed a growing team of about a dozen accountants at various levels, as well as interns and temporary staff. Before this position, he worked in the education field as the Business Manager at a PS-12 private school from 2011-2017 and managed the business functions of the school – he also worked with corporate and school management on strategic decision making including capital planning, marketing, and International student housing and recruitment. He graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from St. Cloud State University in 2008, and following college, he worked in public accounting in the tax and audit fields from 2008-2011. He also currently serves as a member of the Shakopee School Board Citizen’s Financial Advisory Committee.
