Leslie currently serves as Staunton’s Assistant City Manager. She has an interest in local government management, finance and budgeting having served as Charlottesville’s Budget Manager and Director of Budget and Performance Management and Charlottesville Assistant City Manager. Leslie was until recently an Adjunct Instructor at the Batten School for Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia, teaching classes in budgeting and finance and public program analysis. She now teaches for the Virginia Tech Local Government Management Certificate Program. She is an International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Credentialed Manager.
