Kathleen Clarke Buch has worked in local government since 1986.  She started her government service as the Assistant Finance Director for the Town of Newtown before moving on to be the Chief Fiscal Officer in Southbury.  Mrs. Buch has also served as the Finance Director for the City of West Haven and the Town of Darien. She is currently the Town Administrator of the Town of Darien, a position she has held since 2015.

Mrs. Buch is a past-President of the Connecticut GFOA, and has served on several committees for the GFOA of the United States & Canada, including a 3 year term on that organization’s Executive Board.

Mrs. Buch is a Certified Public Finance Officer.  She is also a member of the Connecticut City Managers’ Association and the International City Managers’ Association.  She has served on the State of Connecticut Municipal Finance Advisory Commission for over a decade and is currently the Chairman of Commission.
