Rick Cole is the Chief Deputy Controller for the City of LA where he oversees the key accounting, paymaster and audit functions of the nation's second largest city.

He has spent four decades in public service, including as Deputy Mayor for Budget and Innovation for the City of LA and City Manager in the cities of Azusa, Ventura and Santa Monica. He previously served as the Mayor and a Councilmember in his hometown of Pasadena. He was honored by Governing Magazine as one of their "Public Officials of the Year" and won awards for management excellence from the American Society of Public Administrators and the Municipal Management Association of Southern California.
