Pam Eckhardt

Pam is a product of Bingham County, Idaho, growing up working on the family potato farm. She received a B.S. degree in Clothing and Textiles from Brigham Young University and worked in that industry while raising her three children. She lived in New Zealand for two years with her husband and children and after returning to the U.S. she was hired by Bingham County in 2008 as a deputy court clerk.

She was elected to the office of Bingham County Clerk in 2014. As the elected clerk she is the Chief Budget Officer, Chief Elections Officer, Clerk of the District Court and Recorder. 31 deputy clerks help her fulfill her duties. Pam likes the challenge of the job and the chance to problem solve in fulfilling the mission to serve the citizens of Bingham County. Pam credits her training through GFOA as she implemented changes to the budget process, created policy guidelines, and worked with other government officials in improving the financial practices of Bingham County, Idaho.
