Anne A. Fritz is recently retired from the City of St Petersburg, FL, serving as Director of Debt Financing and Chief Financial Officer. She previously worked in Ohio, and served as Finance Director of Westlake, OH and Willard, Ohio.
Anne was raised on a family farm, and completed her undergraduate education at Heidelberg University, her master’s degree in public administration from Cleveland State University where she also completed coursework (all but dissertation) towards a PhD in Urban Affairs & Public Policy. She was also in the first class of Certified Public Finance Officers from the Government Finance Officers’ Association (GFOA) and was active in GFOA throughout her career.
In her role at St. Petersburg, she was responsible for managing all accounting and financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, pension accounting and reporting, grants compliance and reporting, the in-house investment management of a $1 billion portfolio, debt issuance, and managing the City’s and the public utility bond ratings. In addition, she served as a trustee of the Employee’s Retirement System and sat on the oversight committee for the City’s 457 and 401A plans. Further, she also recently served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Public Asset Liquidity Management (FL PALM) investment program.
