Alisha received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of North Georgia in 2008.Alisha Gamble started her local government career in 2008 as a staff auditor for RL Jennings & Company in Ellijay, Georgia, working with non-profit and local government audit clients. After three years of hands-on auditing experience, she joined the City of Gainesville, Georgia as a Financial Analyst, and she held this position from 2011to 2017.In this role, Alisha focused on capital project quarterly and annual reporting, debt payments, and scheduling and served as the grant administrator for capital projects. She also worked closely with the annual audit process for all city funds and assisted with capital assets reporting for the annual audit. In June of 2017, Alisha transitioned to the City of Flowery Branch, Georgia, as Finance Director. In this position, she gains surmountable experience working with the public and other city directors on many projects and providing transparency through financial reporting to citizens and Council. Working with the City of Gainesville and the City of Flowery Branch has allowed her to serve serval positions with the Georgia Government Finance Officers Association as 2018-2019 President, 1st Vice President, Second Vice President, Treasurer, Director, and Communications Chair for GGFOA since 2011.She is also currently in her second year serving on the Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting Committee with GFOA.
