Kate Grangard, CPA, CGMA serves the 9th largest independent broker in the US, Risk Strategies Company, as Managing Director of the National Public Sector Practice. For over 17 years, Kate has enjoyed assisting public sector entities through her service with Gehring Group, now a part of Risk Strategies, with "all things compliance" including education, workshops, speaking engagements at industry conferences, webinars, and IRS/DOL notice assistance. In her role as managing director, Kate is responsible for supporting the operations and growth of the public sector practice to support Risk Strategies teams and their clients throughout the US and the US Territories. With a passion for community - including clients, team members, and those in which she lives; Kate serves on the board of a homelessness organization committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness; GFOA's CORBA Committee, and the Committee of Employee Benefits Executives with the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers. Additionally, Kate is a corporate culture warrior, seeing her organization recognized for various national awards including D&I Initiative of the Year, and Platinum Bell Seal from Mental Health America, among many other honors.
