Cassandra Gunther is the Manager of Accounting for WaterOne. She earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and Masters of Business Administration from Baker University. Cassandra spent most of her career working in the private sector and describes finding a job in the public sector as a dream she never knew to dream. Cassandra joined the WaterOne Financial Planning and Analysis team in 2016 and transitioned to the Accounting team in 2022. During her tenure at WaterOne, Cassandra assisted in pioneering an affordability metric, joined the DEI initiative bringing Perspectives to the organization, and wrote an infamous (in her mind) budget rap which dubbed the General Manager “Big Papa.” The nickname stuck! She is passionate about the water industry, serving the community, and having fun. Cassandra’s biggest achievement is her amazing family, including the world’s best husband and three awesome boys who keep life interesting!
