Bruce Haupt
Chief Finance & Administrative Officer, Harris County Flood Control District, Houston, Texas
Serving as Chief Finance & Administration Officer at the Harris County Flood Control District, Bruce leads teams of finance, supply chain, project controls, performance, and technology staff who support and enable our project delivery, infrastructure, and operations divisions. Before joining the District, he worked for various public sector entities, to include the City of Houston, Harris County, Houston ISD, the World Bank, and the Supreme Council for Planning in Oman. In these roles he led and supported projects that improved performance, optimized finance and procurement, diversified a national economy, increased transparency, and fostered entrepreneurship. He also spent several years as a stay-at-home dad and completing his doctoral studies. Bruce has a PhD from the University of Kentucky where he studied the spread of innovations via network organizations. He also obtained a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University, Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, and Associate's degree from Eastern Florida State College.
