Joe Lamers has over 15 years of experience in local government administration and he is currently the Director of Milwaukee County's Office of Strategy, Budget and Performance.  In this capacity, he works with a team of staff who are responsible for advancing the strategic plan, developing the County's $1.2 billion annual budget, and and leading a Project Management Office which focuses on completion of priority projects, continuous improvement, grant development, and internal communications. Joe previously spent over 10 years working in New York City government in various roles including Assistant Deputy Commissioner of the NYC Department of Social Services and Senior Analyst in the NYC Mayor's Office of Management and Budget.  He has also served as the Budget Manager for the City of San Luis Obispo, California. Joe has a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
