Matt Watkins is a career professional municipal manager serving in that position over the past 40 years in three different states, primarily in New Jersey. He has served in seven different communities ranging from urban to suburban municipalities. Mr. Watkins has also served at the State of New Jersey as Director of Local Government Services. The Director is the Chair of the NJ Local Finance Board which governs all financial and purchasing practices for local and county governments. Additionally, Matt served for 6 years as a Commissioner on the Public Employment Relations Commission which adjudicates all public employee practices in New Jersey. In 2021, Mr. Watkins joined Municipal Finance Services Company that provides a platform for local government to electronically advance pay contractors performing services to cities and counties.
