Elly Slakie (she/her) is a budget analyst in the King County Office of Performance, Strategy, and Budget (PSB) in Seattle, Washington. She works primarily on legal system budgets and related policy analysis. Elly leads PSB's investment monitoring process, which tracks progress and outcomes for select programs across King County to inform future budget decisions. Other current projects include reporting on pandemic-related backlogs in the court system and base budget analysis of juvenile service programs. Prior to a career in local government, Elly worked in international agricultural development research and with small-scale fish farmers in rural Zambia. She has a master's in public administration from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.
