Rebecca Takahashi is the Association of Local Government Auditor's incoming President for 2023-2024 and is a Senior Internal Auditor for the City of Pasadena, CA. She has over a decade of audit experience in local government, including in the Cities of Austin, TX and San Diego, CA. She served as an ALGA committee chair and in several other roles before becoming President Elect. Rebeca has also presented at ALGA conferences, and has been recognized by ALGA as a recipient of several awards, including an exemplary Knighton Award and Outstanding Contribution to ALGA's quarterly publication. Rebecca earned a Master of Public Affairs degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's in Political Studies and History from Pitzer College. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP), and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
