Anna Van Degna

Anna Van Degna is the director of the Controller’s Office of Public Finance for the City and County of San Francisco. Prior to joining the City, she was a managing director in Stifel’s Public Finance Department. As a public finance banker, Ms. Van Degna structured and brought to market more than 250 municipal bond transactions totaling several billions of dollars for California cities, counties and special districts. Prior to joining Stifel (then Stone & Youngberg) in 2002, Ms. Van Degna worked in the corporate finance investment banking division of Morgan Stanley.
Ms. Van Degna has a Bachelor of Science in hospitality administration from Cornell University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Coro Northern California and was a founding board member of the Northern California Chapter of Women in Public Finance.
