Natalie began her career with the Ministry of Forests as a finance clerk in the Fire Control Room she then switched to local government finance in 1998 as the Treasurer and Acting CAO for the Village of Lytton. Since then she has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for small and mid size local governments as well as 2 Regional District’s, the last five years have been with the Cowichan Valley Regional District where the budget includes 180 separate services of which 10 services are dedicated to fire protection and emergency planning.
