The application process for GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (CAFR) program will be fully automated, allowing CAFR applicants to apply, pay CAFR fees, check application status and receive award documents, all electronically.
Over the last few months, GFOA staff has been working with a leading workflow/content management vendor to design this new system. Work is progressing on schedule and we expect to launch the new system in May 2020.
Please note, in preparation for the transition to an electronic process, we are no longer accepting CAFRs in hard copy or on CDs or flash drives.
