This year’s theme is to use the “A Day in the Life of a Finance Officer” concept to provide an overview of all the topic areas a government finance officer touches or is involved with at work and in the community. Finance officers need a mix of technical and leadership skills to navigate their day, work with teams within finance and throughout the organization, and deliver results for their community.

Sessions included in the virtual forum are intended to provide skills, recommendations, and best practices that all finance officers can use to improve their organization.

All sessions for the 2023 Virtual Forum will use examples of how to apply these principles within a project setting. Sessions will explore how to build a new library for the community. The core of the presentations is to present finance officers of all levels with knowledge about each topic area and use the case study as the practical application.
