The sales tax is a key revenue source for many local governments across the United States. The sales tax was originally developed for a bricks and mortar world. As electronic commerce becomes more relevant it challenges the continued viability of the sales tax. This webinar will overview the major challenges to the sales taxes, the impact these challenges could have on local governments, and the opportunities to modernize and adapt the sales tax to electronic commerce.
