Special Recognition in Budget: Performance Measures

The focus of this training will be on presenting performance measures in the budget document. Learn how to incorporate recommendations from GFOA's best practice on performance measures into your budget document. Included in this training, GFOA staff will highlight budget documents that excel at providing appropriate information for your target audiences and help with overall understanding of your government's operations and results. Find out what other government do to achieve a high level of success in this category. Examples budget documents submitted to GFOA's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award program that receive high marks from judges will be highlighted and speakers will provide recommendations for how you too can produce a budget document worthy of "special recognition." Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and get specific guidance on GFOA's award program and award program criteria.
