On October 19, GFOA, along with the NLC, NACo, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) submitted comments to the EPA addressing the proposed rule change updating Financial Capability Assessments.
The proposed rule adjusts regulation that determines affordability standards put into place in 1997. The submitted comments outline additional provisions to further encourage visibility of affordability issues facing local communities.
