GFOA Leads Efforts Urging Action on the Next Stimulus

With the expiration date for the Coronavirus Relief Fund and the Municipal Liquidity Facility just under three weeks away, GFOA partnered with over a dozen public sector issuer organizations within the Public Finance Network to push out a letter urging Congress to act on providing additional stimulus that would extend beyond December 30, 2020. At a time when COVID-19 cases have reached a record high, supplementary federal aid is urgent for state and local governments to continue providing essential services for their communities.

GFOA will continue advocating for additional stimulus during this critical time.
