Interesting Events

From time to time, a national headline will reference one of our small towns and villages.  We would welcome submissions of interesting happenings, both past and present, which have taken place in your town.  One such event happened in Boonton Township, the home of SGF member Norman Eckstein. 

Follow the link below to learn about Robert L. Vesco, a relatively young financier who built a sprawling estate in Boonton Township.  Mr. Vesco had ties to former President Richard Nixon. He was an international businessman who got his name, and that of Boonton Township (population of 3,000 at the time) in the New York Times due, in part, to illegal contributions to Nixon's reelection campaign in 1973.
