Job Description

The purpose of this classification, under administrative direction, is evaluating, reconciling, and problem solving regarding accounting and internal audit processes. Employees in this classification perform complex accounting, budget review, and internal audit work. The position is responsible for preparing journal entries, preparing fund financial statements, notes and annual financial report preparation, complex bank/cash reconciliations, and related accounting reports. Performs other duties as required. '

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training, and Experience) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; supplemented by at least three (3) years previous experience involving accounting functions. Experience with government accounting, annual financial report preparation, complex financial analysis, and bank/cash reconciliation preferred.
