The City of Madison is searching for an exceptional people leader to serve as its Budget and Program Evaluation Manager. This is a highly responsible leadership, professional, administrative and managerial position directing the budget and program evaluation functions of the City Finance Department. The work focuses on overseeing the development, coordination and implementation of the City’s annual operating and capital budget process; supervising program evaluations and serving as secretary to the Finance Committee. Under the general direction of the City Finance Director, this position requires project management skills, ability to communicate complex concepts in a concise manner, presentation expertise, interpersonal and negotiation abilities, professional expertise, independent judgment and discretion in the achievement of program objectives. Reporting to the Finance Director, this position shall exercise considerable judgment and discretion in meeting established objectives.

- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field.
- Four (4) years of management experience in finance or financial operations; including strategic budgeting and program evaluation of governmental funds.
