Join the Finance Department as a Contracts and Procurement Officer! This role ensures compliance with procurement policies, manages contracts, advises on bidding, and builds strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.

What will you do in this position?

  • Develop and maintain procurement policies, manage vendor relationships, and oversee cooperative purchasing agreements.
  • Collaborate across departments to facilitate the procurement process, ensuring adherence to relevant policies and regulations.
  • Lead ethical, transparent procurement practices across the organization.
  • Train and advise staff on procurement procedures, competitive bidding, and formal solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, ITBs).
  • Manage contract processes in collaboration with the City Attorney’s Office to ensure compliance and standardized documents.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and align procurement with grant requirements and legislative changes.
  • Oversee financial planning and procurement transactions, including asset tracking and surplus disposal.
