Gunnison County is seeking a Deputy Chief Financial Officer to join this progressive, high-performing organization located in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. THE DEPUTY CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Deputy Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all areas relating to financial accounting. Develops and maintains department-specific accounting policies, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders inside and outside the County. Provides management of accounting staff. Addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of finance and accounting activities including general ledger preparation, management and financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Gunnison County is offering an annual salary range (2024) of $105,688 - $125,142 for this position dependent upon experience and qualifications. The full salary range (2024) is $105,688 - $149,496.
