Job Description
We are looking for an Enterprise Systems Manager to join the City of Charleston's Information Technology Department! In this role, you will provide management of and support to the City’s enterprise systems and related systems development work.
Examples of Duties
- Manages the Systems Development area of the IT Department that includes responsibility for all the City’s major, enterprise-level systems.
- Management of related business processes, information, service offerings, customer services, vendors/suppliers, and industry standards.
- Oversees the enterprise systems requirements, design, documentation, analysis, and planning, and the management and sustainment of the enterprise systems, throughout the enterprise systems’ development, deployment, operation and improvement for the full life of the enterprise system including replacing or retiring the enterprise system and/or elements of the enterprise system.
- Identifies projects and priorities related to enterprise systems and works with vendors on project costs related to upgrades and operations.
- Provides input and guidance on enterprise systems related budgeting, strategic and tactical planning, business process re-engineering, and database system strategy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This position is inteeded to be a 36-month project role
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in computer science, programming or a related field; and eight or more years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid state issued driver’s license.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Understanding of database software, web design software, development software, and Internet online processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Central Square’s OneSolution, Tyler’s Energov and Munis, and WebQA’s GovQA software systems.
