Job Description

The City of Goodyear Finance Department is looking for a Finance Manager - Financial Services to join the Finance Team. This position performs professional level work managing, directing and supervising the activities and performance of various operations of the Financial Services division. This includes financial information systems, financial reporting, cash management, debt management, accounts payable, payroll, grant accounting, fixed assets and special districts. Leads and manages activities; develops goals and objectives; manages staff; prepares and monitors budgets; special projects; may act in absence of the Director.

The ideal candidate will have ten years of related and leadership experience in a municipal setting. Previous Comprehensive Annual Financial Report experience, Accounting/Finance experience in a municipal or government setting, implementation of financial systems, process improvement, experience researching/interpreting GASB statements and coordinating the implementation of new statements, ability to understand/interpret development agreements, grants, contracts requirements and compliance, staff supervision and development, and Debt Management. A certified public accountant (CPA) certification is required.
