Reporting directly to Chancellor Joanne Li, the Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance serves as the senior business officer of the campus and is a key strategic advisor to the Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor is responsible for the oversight and administration of all budget, finance and accounting, operational and administrative services in conformity with University of Nebraska Board of Regents policies and state and federal laws. The Vice Chancellor maintains and improves the human, physical, and fiscal operations of the university and provides a comprehensive system of effective management.
The Vice Chancellor will have direct responsibility for all UNO Business and Finance units, overseeing 259 full-time employees with a combined operating budget of $26.7 million within the division. The Vice Chancellor will be a key member of Chancellor Li’s executive team working closely with the Sr. Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Vice Chancellor for Strategic Institution and Student Success, and Chief Information Officer. In partnership with the Vice Chancellors for Business and Finance of the other University of Nebraska system campuses and with the Vice President for Business and Finance of the University of Nebraska system, the Vice Chancellor will be the nucleus of the University of Nebraska System’s business operations.
