Kenton McCarthy has been working in economic research and consulting, fixed income sales, trading and portfolio management since 1990. For the past 16 years, he has been dedicated to public portfolios in the Southwest and California, overseeing portfolio assets approaching $7 billion.
With a passion for education, Kenton received a Bachelor of Business degree from Texas Christian university and his MBA from Arizona State University. He has been a speaker and educator for the Government Finance Officers Association and its Arizona affiliate, and has educated portfolio managers through the American Bankers Association, the Texas Bankers Association and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Today, he is also an adjunct professor of finance and an Honors Faculty member at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
Kenton formed Vulcan Consultants in 2017 with a commitment to context, fiduciary responsibility and an ideological framework, all to provide durable and sustainable risk strategies and solutions to public bodies.
