Michele has served as the Debt Finance Manager for the County of San Diego since 2016 and in this capacity she manages a $770M debt portfolio, consisting of Certificates of Participation, Lease Revenue Bonds and Pension Obligation Bonds. In her almost 18-year career with the County, Michele has served in various management positions in finance and accounting and in 2014 was selected to serve on the County’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Task Force responsible for developing and implementing the County’s first Strategic Plan for D&I. She is the President of the Women in Public Finance, San Diego Chapter and serves on the Arc San Diego’s Audit Committee and Advisory Board for their South Bay chapter. Michele has a Bachelor of Science, Accounting core from Cal State San Marcos and is an alum of KPMG LLP where she worked as an auditor and consultant in their governmental sector. Michele has a daughter who attends Washington State University and when she is not in the office, she is an avid power walker.
