Natalie Kent has extensive experience in public and private sector industries.  Her public sector experience includes senior management in local government.  In the private sector she has hands on management experience in the rural, retail, service and transport industries.  This year is her 30th year working in the Queensland Local Government Industry.

Natalie holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Local Government, Accounting and Human Resources and an MBA majoring in Financial Management.  She is an Associate of the Local Government Finance Professional and is a Commissioner for Declarations in the State of Queensland.

During her career Natalie has managed large water and wastewater programs, undertaken activities of audit, governance, corporate and operational planning, engagement facilitation, accredited and non-accredited training, organisation restructuring, service delivery, asset and financial management.

She challenges work through her motto “Never let your fears and disappointments get in the way of what you set out to achieve”.  Her personal goal has been to always extend her business strengths and knowledge through lifelong learning strategies.
