Uniform Guidance: Would You Change Anything if You Could?
For better or for worse, we have all become intimately familiar with the bounds of Uniform Guidance (or 2CFR part 200) through one federal funds circumstance or another. If you hadn’t already received and reported use of your federal funds in compliance with Uniform Guidance through Single Audit, then certainly ARPA provided an abrupt awakening into the uniform administrative requirements that govern federal awards, particularly in procurement.
So now that we’ve become more familiar with uniform guidance, would you change anything about it if you could?
The Office of Management and Budget is currently soliciting comments on 2CFR parts 25, 170 and 200 by March 13. GFOA will be commenting with several of our partners and we encourage you to comment as well.
