Virtual Conference Sponsor/Exhibitor FAQs

Is exhibiting the same as sponsorship?

Exhibiting and sponsorship are not the same—sponsorship is in addition to reserving an exhibit booth tile. Sponsorship opportunities are available at https://www.gfoa.org/2021-sponsor-exhibitor-information. If you have any questions about sponsorship or are interested in reserving a custom sponsorship opportunity, contact Barb Mollo, Director of Operations & Marketing, at 312.977.9700 or bmollo@gfoa.org.

How do I change the primary contact person for our exhibit/sponsorship?
Please send the new contact information to conference@gfoa.org.

What platform will GFOA use for the 2021 virtual conference?

GFOA will be using Commpartners for the virtual conference, but unlike last year, there will not be a separate website. The virtual conference will be accessed through GFOA’s new learning management system (LMS). If you have attended GFOA’s annual conference in the past, or participated in any GFOA webinars, you already have a GFOA account. If you aren’t sure about your login information, you can either reset your password here or contact logins@gfoa.org for assistance.

When will I receive a list of attendees?

On June 30, 2021, GFOA will e-mail each exhibitor contact a PDF of attendee names, titles, and organizations only.

It has been brought to our attention that sham companies have approached GFOA sponsors and exhibitors with fraudulent offerings of conference attendee email lists. Do not give these companies your credit card information. GFOA’s official attendee list will be sent out on June 30, 2021, and will not include contact information. Mailing labels will be available to purchase through GFOA in June, but we will have a form available for you to place your order, and will not conduct these transactions over the phone.

How can I purchase attendee mailing labels / e-mail addresses? How can I contact attendees?

Mailing labels will be available in June for the virtual conference. The full set of attendee mailing labels will be $500. Mailing labels are included as a benefit of premier-level sponsorship. If you are only interested in targeting particular states, those specific lists are $50 per state, with a minimum order of $250.

Does sponsorship include a speaking opportunity?

Your sponsorship or exhibit does not guarantee a spot on our program.

Who can I speaker with regarding a speaking opportunity?

Please contact Mike Mucha.

What if we use all our complimentary registrations, but have additional staff who want to participate? Additional registrations are $565. This is a great value compared to an in-person conference registration, as each registered exhibitor delegate will receive access to every concurrent session through the archive.

If GFOA is able to have an in-person conference in Chicago in June, is my booth transferrable?

In the event that there were an in-person GFOA conference with exhibitor/sponsor opportunities, any virtual conference fees could be applied as requested.

What is the deadline to submit an exhibit contract or sponsorship pledge form?

We ask that all exhibit contracts and sponsorship pledge forms be submitted by June 30, 2021.
