Daniel has been the City Manager for Sturgis SD for 10 years. During this time the community has stabilized its finances, rehabilitated significant infrastructure, experienced significant residential and commercial growth for the first time in 20 years and greatly enhanced its monetization of the annual City of Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. 18 years ago, Daniel married his High School sweetheart and together they have four children, are coaches of the City's swim team, owners of a small-town appliance and mattress store and active participants in their church. Before relocating to Sturgis, Daniel worked for the cities of Sacramento, Stockton and Merced, California. Daniel has an M.B.A. from the University of the Pacific.
