Dr. Nancy Augustine

Project Director, National Academy of Public Administration

As a Project Director for the National Academy of Public Administration, Dr. Augustine has led projects for the Architect of the Capitol, Department of Commerce Office of Inspector General, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Her expertise centers on strategic planning, public management, infrastructure, budget and finance, citizen participation, and social support programs. Previously, Dr. Augustine has conducted research for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Department of Labor, District of Columbia Auditor, and the Pew Charitable Trusts. She has also taught at the Trachtenberg School (George Washington University) since 2006, specializing in research methods, the use of evidence in government decision-making, project management, and urban policy. Dr. Augustine has a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Public Administration from the George Washington University. She also has an M.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia.
