Brent Bryant

Brent has served as the City’s Finance Director since July 2019. He started his professional career with the City of Oklahoma City in 1991 as an Internal Auditor. Brent serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the City and is responsible for the financial management of the City’s $1.9B budget and debt program. He oversees Accounting, Budget, Risk Management, Treasury, Economic Development, Purchasing and Debt Management. In addition, he is a trustee on the Oklahoma State Firefighter’s Pension, the Oklahoma City Employees Retirement System, the Oklahoma City MAPS Investment & Operation Trust, Central Oklahoma Transit and Parking Authority and serves as the Chairman of the Oklahoma City Post-Employment Benefits Trust. Brent’s 31 years plus tenure includes stints in the Auditor’s Office, Fire Dept, Office of Management and Budget, Finance Administration and the City Manager’s Office. From 2007 to 2019, Brent served as the City’s Economic Development Program Manager under the direction of the City Manager.

Brent has a BS in Accounting from Oklahoma State University and a Masters in Public Administration – Public Finance from the University of Oklahoma and is a certified Economic Development Finance Professional. Brent is a member of the Leadership OKC Class 25 and in 2018 received the prestigious Stanley Draper Award for his impact on Oklahoma City. Brent and his wife of 31 years have two grown children.
