Jonathan Edwards serves as the Internal Auditor for Volusia County. He graduated from Missouri State University and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO). He has served as the director since 2019 when the department was created. Previously, he has held multiple positions both as an auditor and as a finance officer. He started his career with the Missouri State Auditor’s Office and has worked for organizations such as: Trane Corporation; La Crosse County, WI; Charleston, SC; and Mount Pleasant, SC. Jonathan works closely with staff to implement the financial and operational improvements recommended in audits.
