Kathryn Mortensen

Kathryn Mortensen serves as the Director of Budget & Innovation for the City of Brighton, Colorado, where she leads the development of the city’s annual budget, long-range financial planning, and strategic initiatives that integrate innovation into traditional government work. 

In addition to her budgeting leadership, Kathryn plays a key role in developing Brighton’s organizational culture, helping lead the Brighton Performance and Leadership Academy to build internal capacity for continuous improvement.

Kathryn received her Master's of Public Administration from the University of Colorado-Denver, and has a bachelor's in Political Science.
