Mickie Pearsall

Mickie Pearsall is the Director of Finance/Treasurer at the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. She has served in various finance roles at the District for the past twenty years. In that time, she has worked on several strategic initiatives for the District including the pursuing and receiving the prestigious Climate Bond designation for the District’s recent bond sales since 2020; the analysis of two ten-year public private contracts for the operations and maintenance of the District’s water reclamation facilities and conveyance system and negotiation and award of a ten-year $500 million contract; the analysis and negotiations of several renewable energy contracts using landfill gas in lieu of natural gas in treatment operations; financing strategies for the District’s 2020 and 2050 Facilities Plans. Mickie has participated in policy initiatives related to pension and OPEB and addressing long-term costs. She has also led the development and implementation of the District’s strategic plan and performance management system. Mickie had been a member of the GFOA’s Committee on Governmental Budgeting and Fiscal Policy for two terms and is currently on the Treasury and Investment Management Committee. Mickie attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for both her undergraduate and MBA degrees.
