Melissa serves as the Chief Financial Officer and has been with Missouri LAGERS since April, 2010.  She serves as team lead for the financial reporting, human resource, information technology, and document management functions of the system.  As a member of LAGERS’ executive team, Melissa also assists the Executive Director with the overall management of the system as well as supports the development and implementation of long-term organizational strategy. 

Melissa has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, emphasis in Accounting and Finance, from the University of Central Missouri.  In addition, she is a Certified Public Accountant, has earned the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist certificate from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Government Financial Manager.  She is a member of the Government Finance Officer Association’s Committee on Retirement and Benefits Administration.  Melissa is also currently serving as a board member of the Public Pension Financial Forum (P2F2).
