Jennifer currently serves as the Director of Finance for the City of Monte Vista located in Southern Colorado. Monte Vista has a population of just over 4,000. She is responsible for the direction, planning, forecasting, and management of the City's finances, analysis, and accounting services. Along with this, responsibilities for the City include the annual budget preparation, utility billing, annual audit, monthly financial oversight and preparation, and the investment management of City funds for their governmental and enterprise funds. She came to the public sector after serving in the private sector for 15 years in accounting, banking, and legal work. While with the City of Monte Vista, she has overseen the growth of their General Fund and investment revenue, increased transparency through the implementation of financial best practices, created the City's first comprehensive Financial Management Policy manual, created the City's first Citizen's Academy to foster involvement and education, and assisted in the facilitation of a sales tax increase initiative for growth and development of City services. Her strengths are strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, risk management, and financial policy.

Along with her responsibilities with the City of Monte Vista, Jennifer serves on the Board of Trustees for COLTRUST (Colorado Local Government Liquid Asset Trust). As well as being a member of GFOA, she is a member of the Colorado Government Finance Officers Association. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in pre-law and a minor in accounting from Adams State University as well as an associate degree in Business Administration and her Paralegal Certification.
