Zach Smith is a graduate student working on his doctorate in education leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Prior to his time in graduate school, Zach worked in Sanger Unified, a 12,000 student district in California’s Central Valley, as an instructional coach, special education administrator, and special education teacher. Zach has spent his career working to make more inclusive educational experiences for all students – with a special emphasis on students with disabilities. Zach is a deep background in Universal Design for Learning as a practice to support inclusion and he hopes to continue work back in a school district upon completion of his degree.
