Distinguished Budget Presentation Award Criteria Changes

The GFOA is proud to announce that our Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program is undergoing a “modernization” of its criteria. In addition, GFOA will also make school districts and community colleges eligible for the Distinguished Budget Presentation award for budgets beginning July 1, 2021. This change provides options for those schools and community colleges that would like to be recognized for preparing a budget that meets the revised criteria of the Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program, but are not looking for recognition related more broadly to their budget process and implementation of other of GFOA’s Best Practices in School or Community College Budgeting recommendations.
